We are a single handed Practice in the heart of Eastmoor. We aim to provide a high standard of medical care in a friendly and professional manner, with support of the community staff and other organisations.
The members of the Primary Health Care Team at Eastmoor Health Centre are dedicated to a quality policy to achieve health services which meet the requirements of all the patients within the community, within the limits of the organisation. It is important that all staff at the surgery and people visiting the surgery are treated with respect. You can help us to achieve this by following the suggestions made on this site and ensuring that appropriate services can be provided when you most need them. Access for Disabled patients is via automatic doors. Disabled toilets are also provided.
The Practice does not currently have an active Patient Participation Group. We welcome the views and suggestions given by our patients and are in the process of forming a Group. If you wish to join this group please contact the Practice Manager. The surgery operates a Zero Tolerance policy, physical and verbal abuse will not be tolerated in our practice, and anyone found being abusive to our staff will result in their removal from our patient list and possible criminal proceedings.
For urgent appointments required on the same day please ring the surgery as early as possible preferably from 08:00. If there are no available appointments the receptionist will arrange for the Doctor to contact you for a telephone consultation.
If your condition is non-urgent please call the surgery after 10:30 when the phone lines are less busy. You can expect to see a Doctor within two working days, though you may have to wait longer if you want to see a particular Doctor. If you don’t need an appointment within two working days, you also have the option to book up to 2 weeks in advance if this is more convenient for you. Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions. You can expect to see a nurse within two working days.
We have a computerised repeat prescription service. Repeat prescriptions are normally for patients with long-term conditions who receive regular treatment. Your Doctor will decide who can have a repeat prescription.
