Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Wondering about a sick note

A: You can self certify for the first week.

Q: Do I need a medical opinion? Can the pharmacy help

A: Ask your Pharmacist for advice about choosing the right medicines for common ailments. Your Pharmacist will advise you if you are unsure about seeing a Doctor. The Pharmacist can offer advice about a problem if you are not sure what is causing it. Be sure to tell your pharmacist if you are taking other medicines – some medicines are not compatible.

Q: Not heard about your referral

A: Speak to our Secretary.

Q: You have a prescription query?

A: Speak to our Administration Team.

Q: Is it a Dental problem

A: You need to see a dentist. If you need a dentist contact the NHS 111 service on 111. Out of hours, dental care is the responsibility of NHS Wakefield CCG. The British Dental Health Foundation can also offer guidance on private charges, UK legislation, dental procedures, oral hygiene and complaints procedures. They can be contacted on 0845 063 1188 or www.dentalhealth.org.
